creamy Cashew Milk

Drinking this is like a bear hug for your soul.
It feels good to drink something so simply nourishing, very similar to a bear hug <3.
Adjustable levels of creamy goodness by adding more or less cashews and so simple to prepare it will just naturally become part of your recipe routine.

Fresh is best!

You can use any nuts you want to make this milk.

stuff you need to do this

glass jar with lid (yes you can reuse that spaghetti jar click here)
nut milk bag (check at your local health food store) or cheesecloth (I’ve heard an old t-shirt works as well)
high powered blender (Ninja works great)

1 1/2 cups of nuts, soaked overnight in water
4 cups of filtered / spring water
2 dates (optional but really rounds out the flavour nicely)
pinch of sea salt (optional)
pinch of cardamom powder or cinnamon or both (optional)

this is how we do it:

RINSE off the soaked nuts and place them in the blender with the following:
4 cups water
2 dates (no pits ) optional but really nice try one
pinch of sea salt (optional)
pinch of cardamom powder or cinnamon or both (optional)

BLEND well.

POUR contents into a nut milk bag of your choosing and SQUEEZE
(yep I know this is reading a bit like a 50 shades of grey ripoff but those are the instructions lol)

POUR into jar and store in the fridge for 3 – 4 days.

Also make sure to take many photos of your nut milk lounging casually enjoying the great outdoors.
So darn good.
